Valery Sushkov, a researcher-traveler, postal historian, travel-marketer and member of the Primorsky Krai Branch of the Russian Geographical Society, is the author, developer and editor-in-chief of the first philatelic guidebook in Russia.
The philatelic guidedook with the effect of augmented reality — Postal Adventures on ZADONSK land — is the first philatelic guidebook not only in the recent history of Russia, but also in the whole world, which is based on the idea of popularization of domestic tourism through the prism of philately and the history of the national post office; it takes to historical and cultural philatelic travel adventure quest routes (small city route — “Zadonsk — the capital of philatelic tourism” and grand district route — “Zadonsk round-the-world”) in order to create their own stamp collection.
The stamps in the Zadonsk Land series are available at 24 philatelic locations represented by tourist-postal stations, which are pasted into a philatelic album with a mandatory special stamping of various postmarks of all postal stations.
The POSTAL PRICTURES ON ZADONSK LAND philatelic guidebook is accompanied by an appendix in the form of a plastic guest stamp — it is a loyalty program for guests, which provides discounts, preferences and privileges in the tourist sites, hospitality and culture of the Zadonsk district of the Lipetsk region.
All-Russian presentation of the first augmented reality philatelic guidebook — POSTAL PRICTURES ON ZADONSK LAND will be held at the INTOURMARKET-2024 International Travel Fair on March 16, 2024 in Moscow.
By the summer season of 2024 the online version of the POSTAL ADVENTURES ON ZADONSK LAND philatelic guidebook at https://zadonsk.land is planned to be launched.
