Participants and guests of exhibitions taking place at “Crocus Expo” will finally be able to forget about long lines for buses and mini-bus taxis that usually took them to the largest exhibition site of Moscow. Metro station “Myakinino”, an exit from which will be located on the territory of the Exhibition Center, will be opened in the end of the year.
Metro station “Myakininskaya” of Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line will be opened in December 2009.
The station will be located in Krasnogorsk district of the Moscow region on Myakininskaya plain, on the territory of the Trade Exhibition Complex “Crocus-City”.
The station will have three hallways providing for two exits to the sidewalks, two exits to the underground pedestrian subway, and two exits to above-ground pedestrian subway connected with the exhibition pavilions. The station construction is unique: above-ground, with bank line platforms, built-in in the multistory parking lot.
In this connection organizers of the Fifth International Travel Fair “Intourmarket – 2010” make positive forecasts of the Fair attendance. The Fair Director Olga Khotochkina says: “A lack of a possibility to get to the exhibition site by the Metro was a major shortcoming that in the course of four years had a negative impact on our fair attendance. Long traffic jams on the highway approaching “Crocus City” exhausted the participants and visitors. That is why construction and opening of the Metro station “Myakininskaya” will be an important step towards development of not only the fair, but also exhibition activities on the “Crocus Expo” site that is rightfully considered the best exhibition center in Russia.
See you at the Fifth International Travel Fair “Intourmarket – 2010” that will take place at the International Exhibition Center “Crocus Expo” on March 13-16, 2010!
