Altai Region has become the General partner of «Intourmarket — 2014»


Altai Region will be the General Partner of «Intourmarket-2014» International Travel Fair held from March 15 till March 18, 2014!

For several years Altay region has been one of the most active participants of the event, consistently presenting a vast exposition of beauty and originality of the region which attract a large number of visitors.

The status of the exhibition General partner will undoubtedly contribute to the promotion of the Altai region on the international tourism market. Within the framework of the region participation at the ITM with a stand of 1,000 square meters the organizers are planning carry out a large-scale presentation of tourist companies, crafts, eco-tourism opportunities, the performance of folklore groups and much more. The Governor of the region A. Karlin will be also present at ITM-2014.

In 2013 Altai region was the Russian strategic partner of «Intourmarket». Its unique possibilities on the country main tourism industry exhibition area were presented by 58 participants, including municipalities, travel agencies, health resort institutions, hotels, businesses and other companies.

The entire regional exposition was divided into theme zones positioning tourism and recreation and health-resort potential of the region. Each zone reflected the idea of the «uniqueness» of the territory expressed by already traditional slogans «Altai — the land granting discovery», «Altai — the land bestowing vigor», «Altai — the land granting courage», «Altai — the land bestowing purity «. Separately, there was a zone of administration and tour operators of the region, a stage area, a zone of Altai manufactures and souvenirs.

The Altai region exposition was highly appreciated by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev during his visit to the exhibition «ITM 2013». The Prime Minster was pleased to taste the local eco-products and discussed with the Governor the prospects of the region, noting that the work of the local authorities significantly contributes to the development of inbound and domestic tourism of the country.
