Veliky Ustug — Father Frost land
Veliky Ustug is a dynamic tourist project of Vologda region with its main idea of national traditions unity based at happiness, belief and kindness.
Russian Father Frost lives in a picturesque pine forest in a magic house at the river Sukhona, makes miracles and meets guests 24 hours a day. The area also provides hotel and wooden cottages to stay in, shops; entertainments park «12 months», zoo and apiary.
You can have ski, skates, snowboards, boats and air mattresses, dance around the New Year tree, take part in many contests, ride horses or toboggans.
You can even spend your newlyweds-day at Father Frost area, to be a part of «White fairy tale for lovers».
Father Frost’s birthday is held on November 18 annually as a bright costume event at Veliky Ustug squares and streets.
The culmination point comes with lights on a first New Year Tree made by Father Frost what symbolizes the start of New Year period in Russia.
Veliky Ustug also offers Father Frost Post service taking and delivering various Father Frost correspondence with authentic stamp and his sign.
Every year thousands of people come to Father Frost land.

Belozersk is one of the most ancient towns at Russian North (862 A.D.) Its rampart and ditch are still very monumental.

Veliky Ustug (Ustug the Great)
Veliky Ustug is an old Russian town, same age with Vologda and Moscow. Was founded in XII century. near rivers Yuga and Sukhona.
